VB3- Dishes looked amazing first and foremost. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in. The oysters were fresh and they were served with many different condiments to compliment them in various ways . The robust flavors excelled beyond my expectations. The clams were covered with a great red sauce reduction that was amazing. The flavors were new and fresh. The flavors were literally bouncing off of my palette. The sausage and the chicken were marinated perfectly in a light sauce that covered the entirety of the dish. The ratio of protein to vegetables was perfectly constructed. The balance of flavors were immaculate. Potatoes had a caramelized soft crisp, the onions, and hot peppers were cooked to perfection and the chicken was perfectly covered in a crispy brick oven skin that was beautifully presented. Over all this restaurant was beyond a Michelin quality. The service, food, presentation and concepts were well deserving of 5 stars. 10 out of 10 all the way around. Seth Olson, Louisville, KY
Dina was a fantastic bartender. She recommended the best drink I have had in a long time. And the pizza was perfectly paired with my drink. Will come again the next time I am in Jersey. Also the manager seemed really cool too. If you are in the area... it is worth the stop. I Recommend 'the vb13 cocktail!!!!' With the zucchini chips....
Go try it! Food is surprisingly excellent! We have been a regular for a few years as the place serves food late and has many choices depending on mood and hunger level - from healthy great salad and fish to heavier steak and burger. My favorites - tuna nicoise salad, branzino, linguini with clams, flounder piccata, pasta fungi, steak, pizza with mushrooms. Drinks - federalist chardonnay or any great beer. For wine, the fact that they pour from a flask measured at the right level instead of inaccurate guessing says a lot about paying attention. Jambalaya from special menu is also excellent! Great take on something from New Orleans, which is not easy to execute. Appropriate glass depending on beer - enhances the experience. Also brings a small carafe that measures exactly a glass amount of wine, unlike many places that guess the amount. Thank you!!
We stopped for a late lunch on a Saturday, and although the place was quiet the service was prompt and friendly. Salad and personal pizzas were excellent. Nice bar and wine selection. Would make a return visit for dinner next time we're in town.

Nice bar to hangout in Newport, Jersey City. This place has a happy hour from 5PM to 7PM where there is beer and other drinks are served at reduced prices. Food also is cheap with the drinks in the happy hour. This place has a small pizzeria as well where you can take out pizza and stuff.
I was staying with my family at the doubletree and we were looking for some good pizza...this place hands down was delicious! My kids devoured both pizzas we got and the garlic knots..I got the caprese salad, which was delicious! They were super polite on the phone and delivered within 20 mins when they said 45 Mims to an hour. This was the hotels #1 recommendation and they nailed it. Looked thru the reviews and the people that gave negative reviews have no taste or class. We recommend this place 100%...you won't be disappointed! Thank you for your great service and food!
